Q.What devices does SpecDrive support?
SpecDrive requires iPadOS 26 or macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence enabled. It runs on an iPad with an M-series or A17 Pro chip, or any Apple Silicon Mac.
Q.Do I need a GitHub account?
No. GitHub is optional. Your specs save locally and sync across your Apple devices via iCloud. You can connect GitHub at any time from Settings.
Q.Is my data private?
Yes. SpecDrive does not collect or transmit your data. All AI processing happens on your device via Apple Intelligence. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Q.Which AI coding agents does SpecDrive support?
SpecDrive generates prompt packages compatible with Claude Code (Anthropic), Amazon Kiro, GitHub Copilot (CLI mode), and Gemini CLI.
Q.What is a spec?

Q.Can I use SpecDrive without Apple Intelligence?
No. Apple Intelligence is required for SpecDrive to function. It powers the AI suggestions, clarifying questions, and completeness checks throughout the app.
