Why I built SpecDrive
I write specs before I write code — a constitution for the project, a user story, a tech plan, a task checklist — and then I hand it to an AI agent to build. That loop works. What didn't work was the tooling around it: scattered Markdown files, copy-pasting into a terminal, no good way to do any of it from an iPad on the sofa.
So I built the app I wanted for myself. SpecDrive turns Spec Driven Development into a proper notebook — structured specs you can write and review on iPad and Mac, that hand off cleanly to a coding agent. If it's the app you wanted too, that's a nice bonus.

One-person studio
No co-founders, no investors, no growth team. Just me — a Brazilian developer in Dublin, after work and on weekends.
Private by design
AI runs on-device with Apple Intelligence. The optional Claude link only reads your .specify/ files and CLAUDE.md — never your source.
A word on privacy
SpecDrive does its AI work on your device through Apple Intelligence — your specs aren't shipped off to someone else's server to be processed. If you connect SpecDrive to Claude, that link is scoped on purpose: it reads only the project's .specify/ files and CLAUDE.md from GitHub, never your source code, assets, or your GitHub token. You stay in control of what an agent can see.
